Though it will stay true to its RPG roots, gun play in Fallout 4 looks to be completely overhauled. could best be described as a frustrating spray-and-pray affair. Improved CombatĮven die-hard fans of the series know that Fallout has never had good shooting mechanics, which was always fine considering the emphasis on RPG elements, and shooting at enemies outside of V.A.T.S. The prospect of traversing metro tunnels just got way more terrifying. They attack in hordes and can be dismembered, but they will continue crawling after you Walking Dead style even after losing multiple limbs. Speaking of ghouls, ferals have been revamped to behave more like zombies. Sadly there will be no super-mutant or ghoul nookie, which kinda seems like a wasted opportunity, but there you have it. If doin the dirty with an unwashed, irradiated wastelander sounds like your idea of a good time, you will have the option to romance human companions of either gender. And yes, this means gettin’ freaky will be an option. The protagonist will be fully voiced and you will be able to develop deep personal relationships with your companions. Though there isn’t much info on the main plot yet, the protagonist is somehow still alive two centuries later when they emerge from Vault 111 (I’m predicting cryo-stasis, but the explanation might be even stranger). The protagonist will begin their journey in pre-nuclear-holocaust Boston, so players will finally get a look at the world before the bombs hit. Such as: New Story and NPC Interactionsįallout 4 is going to include more character and story development than past entries. Though Bethesda is keeping most of the game’s secrets under lock and key, there are plenty of new additions they have revealed that should have gamers salivating in anticipation. The game map is bigger than any previous Fallout and there is so much content, Bethesda’s lead producer hasn’t even seen everything the game has to offer. But besides new locations and missions, Fallout 4 is going to offer a multitude of new features that are sure to improve the series in a number of ways. Though this is exciting in itself, it is pretty much par for the course. New changes to the series that should get you hyped.įallout 4 will be set in the ruins of Boston, which is sure to feature a wealth of bombed out real-life landmarks and demented new vaults to explore and investigate.
